LHP Ty Blach will make his second start of the season as LHP Madison Bumgarner's injury replacement when he takes on the San Diego Padres on Sunday. The second-year Giant pitched well in his first start, allowing two runs on just four hits in five innings Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but was outdueled by LHP Clayton Kershaw in a 2-1 loss. Blach has faced the Padres once in his career, a start last September in which he gave up two runs and four hits in three innings (6.00 ERA). He did not get a decision.
